Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 1 July 2026. This policy defines how the OMG Distribution platform and SMG services may be used, and what activities are prohibited.

1. Scope and purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs the use of soulmusic.asia, the OMG Distribution platform at app.omgmusic.asia, and all services provided by Soul Music Worldwide Co., Ltd. ("SMG," "we," "us"). It applies to all users, clients, white-label operators and their end users.

This AUP is incorporated into our Terms of Service. By using our website or Platform, you agree to comply with this AUP. White-label operators are responsible for ensuring their end users also comply.

2. Permitted use

You may use SMG's Platform and services only for lawful purposes directly related to:

  • Distributing music and audio content to digital streaming platforms via SMG's infrastructure.
  • Administering YouTube Content ID and CMS operations for content you own or are authorised to manage.
  • Managing royalty statements, splits and payments for rights holders.
  • Organising and maintaining catalog metadata for releases you are authorised to manage.
  • Operating a white-label distribution service under a signed white-label agreement with SMG.

All use must comply with applicable law, DSP platform policies, and SMG's Terms of Service.

3. Prohibited content

You must not submit, distribute or otherwise use SMG's Platform to deal in:

  • Infringing content: Audio, compositions or artwork in which you do not hold the necessary rights for the territories and platforms selected.
  • Fraudulent releases: Releases designed to impersonate another artist, label or rights holder, or created with the intent to mislead consumers or DSPs.
  • Stream manipulation: Content submitted as part of a scheme involving bot traffic, fake playlists, paid streaming services or other artificial inflation of streaming numbers.
  • Unlicensed samples: Content that contains uncleared samples, interpolations or recordings from third-party copyrighted works without appropriate licences.
  • Defamatory, obscene or unlawful material: Content that is defamatory, obscene, threatening, harassing, or otherwise unlawful in the applicable jurisdiction.
  • Content violating DSP policies: Material that violates the content policies of any DSP to which it is distributed.

4. Prohibited platform activities

You must not use the Platform to:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, system or network connected to the Platform.
  • Probe, scan or test the vulnerability of any part of SMG's infrastructure or network without prior written authorisation from SMG.
  • Use automated bots, scrapers or extraction tools to harvest data from the Platform without prior written consent.
  • Introduce viruses, malware, ransomware or any other harmful code into the Platform or SMG's systems.
  • Interfere with the availability of the Platform for other users, including via denial-of-service attacks or deliberate resource exhaustion.
  • Circumvent, disable or interfere with any security, access control or rights management functionality of the Platform.
  • Use another user's credentials or impersonate any person or entity.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile or extract source code from the Platform.

5. Rights verification obligations

You are responsible for verifying, prior to submission, that you hold or have obtained all rights, licences and permissions necessary to:

  • Distribute the Content on each selected DSP and in each selected territory.
  • Register the Content with YouTube Content ID (if applicable).
  • Claim and monetise user-generated content that matches registered assets.

Submitting Content for which you do not hold the necessary rights is a violation of this AUP and the Terms of Service. SMG may remove non-compliant Content, suspend your account and report infringements to rights holders, DSPs or relevant authorities.

6. Streaming manipulation and fraud

SMG has zero tolerance for artificial streaming activity. This includes — but is not limited to — using bots or scripts to stream content, purchasing streams through any service, creating fake playlists or profiles to inflate metrics, coordinating click farms, or participating in any scheme designed to generate false royalty income.

Violation of this provision will result in immediate account termination and may result in reporting to the relevant DSPs and law enforcement. Any royalties generated through fraudulent streaming activity may be withheld or reversed.

7. White-label operator obligations

White-label operators licensing SMG's distribution infrastructure must incorporate equivalent acceptable use terms in their own agreements with end users. White-label operators are responsible to SMG for the conduct of their end users and must promptly remove or suspend any end users found to be in violation of this AUP.

8. Reporting violations

If you become aware of any violation of this AUP by another user or third party in connection with SMG's Platform or services, please report it to info@soulmusic.asia. Include as much detail as possible to allow us to investigate.

9. Enforcement and consequences

SMG reserves the right to investigate suspected violations of this AUP. Where a violation is confirmed or reasonably suspected, SMG may:

  • Remove or suspend distribution of non-compliant Content.
  • Suspend or permanently terminate the relevant account.
  • Withhold any royalties associated with fraudulent or infringing activity.
  • Report the violation to relevant DSPs, rights holders, or law enforcement.
  • Pursue legal remedies including injunctive relief and damages.

SMG is not obligated to provide prior notice before taking action in response to an AUP violation where immediate action is required to protect the integrity of the Platform or the rights of third parties.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. Changes will be communicated by updating this page. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
