Refund Policy

Last updated: 1 July 2026. This policy applies to subscriptions and payments for the OMG Distribution platform operated by Soul Music Worldwide Co., Ltd.

1. Overview

Soul Music Group ("SMG") provides access to the OMG Distribution platform on a subscription basis. This Refund Policy explains how billing works, when refunds may be issued, how to cancel, and what happens when a subscription is terminated.

This policy applies to platform subscriptions only. Bespoke service arrangements — including distribution infrastructure contracts, white-label agreements and enterprise partnerships — are governed by the terms of the applicable service agreement, which may contain separate payment and cancellation provisions.

By subscribing to the OMG Distribution platform, you accept this policy in full.

2. Subscription billing

The OMG Distribution platform is available on monthly and annual subscription plans. Subscription fees are charged in advance at the start of each billing period:

  • Monthly subscriptions: Billed on the same date each month (your "billing date"), corresponding to the date you first subscribed.
  • Annual subscriptions: Billed once per year as a single upfront payment on your billing date.

Fees are displayed in United States Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated at checkout. Currency conversion charges from your bank or payment provider are your responsibility. All fees are exclusive of any applicable taxes, which will be added where required by law.

3. Auto-renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. You will receive a renewal reminder by email at least 7 days before an annual subscription renews. Monthly subscriptions renew without a separate reminder.

By providing a payment method and subscribing, you authorise SMG to charge your payment method automatically at each renewal date. If a renewal payment fails, SMG will attempt to charge the payment method again within 3–5 business days. If the payment fails after repeated attempts, your account may be suspended.

4. Non-refundable completed billing periods

Subscription fees for completed billing periods are non-refundable. A billing period is "completed" once it has commenced — that is, from the date of charge onwards. If you cancel your subscription at any point during a billing period:

  • Your access to the Platform will continue until the end of the current billing period.
  • No refund will be issued for the remaining days of the current billing period.
  • Your subscription will not renew at the end of the period.

For example, if you are on a monthly plan billed on the 1st of each month and you cancel on the 15th, you will retain Platform access until the end of that month but will not receive a refund for the remaining 15 days.

5. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings in the Platform, or by contacting us at info@soulmusic.asia.

  • To avoid being charged for the next billing period, cancel at least 24 hours before your billing date.
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • After cancellation, you will lose access to the Platform on the final day of the paid period.

Cancellation does not affect any outstanding obligations — including royalties due to rights holders managed through the platform, or content distribution arrangements with DSPs, which may require separate notice to terminate in accordance with DSP requirements.

6. Annual plan cancellation

If you purchase an annual subscription and wish to cancel within the first 14 days of the initial subscription term (not a renewal), you may request a full refund, provided you have not submitted any releases for distribution during that 14-day period. To request this, contact info@soulmusic.asia with your account details and reason for cancellation.

After the 14-day window, or if you have submitted releases during that period, the annual subscription fee is non-refundable for the remainder of the annual term. You will retain Platform access until the end of the annual billing period.

7. Exceptional refund cases

SMG may, at its sole discretion, issue full or partial refunds in the following exceptional circumstances:

  • Billing error: You were charged an incorrect amount due to a verified technical error on our part.
  • Duplicate charge: You were charged twice for the same billing period.
  • Service unavailability: The Platform was inaccessible for a continuous period exceeding 72 hours due to causes within SMG's control, and the outage was not reflected in a service credit offered under an applicable SLA.
  • Unauthorised charge: You can demonstrate that a charge was made without your authorisation and you report it to us promptly.

To request a refund on exceptional grounds, contact info@soulmusic.asia within 30 days of the charge, with your account information and details of the issue. SMG will respond within 5 business days.

Approved refunds will be credited to the original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your payment provider.

8. Chargebacks

We request that you contact us to resolve any billing disputes before initiating a chargeback with your bank or payment provider. Chargebacks initiated without first contacting SMG may result in suspension of your account pending investigation.

If a chargeback is found to be unjustified, SMG reserves the right to recover the charged amount plus any chargeback fees, and to suspend or terminate your account.

9. Service-level arrangements

Enterprise and white-label clients with SLA terms in their service agreements should refer to their agreement for specific terms regarding service credits, refunds and remedies for downtime. Those terms take precedence over this general Refund Policy.

10. Changes to this policy

SMG may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be communicated by updating this page and, where material, by email to account holders. Your continued use of the Platform after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
